Objectives Once you have completed this chapter, you will be familiar with how to perform a dissolution test using Apparatus 1 and 2 and be able to calculate sample concentration; know the test acceptance criteria governing a variety of dosage forms and have an appreciation of non-compendial modifications to both types of apparatus. You will know what to do in the event of dissoution test failure and you will know sources of error for dissolution test failure.
Prerequisites It would be helpful to have completed the 'Introduction to Dissolution Testing' and 'The Dissolution Apparatus - Anatomy' chapters as useful background to the more specific information described here. |
