About The Protocols
The first protocol is a combination protocol from the Gastrointestinal unit which uses epirubicin, cisplatin and fluorouracil (ECF).
The second protocol is a single agent from the Gynaecological unit which uses carboplatin.
The third protocol is a combination protocol from the Lymphoma unit which uses cyclophosphamide doxorubicin and vincristine (CHOP).
What Do The Protocols Illustrate?
The protocols clearly illustrate:
- The timing and method of administration of the cytotoxic drugs.
- The critical haematology and biochemistry tests required.
- The hydration regimens.
- The use of antiemetics.
- The use of medication for mouth care, to minimise alopecia and to counter other side effects of the cytotoxic drugs involved.
- They also illustrate how body surface area is calculated from height and weight and indicate the course cycle and the number of the courses.
- These protocols are of course purely illustrative.
Instructions
Each of the three protocols is too large to show on the screen. To see all the information you need to move the protocols around.
To move the protocols around:
- Position the mouse cursor over the protocol.
- Click on the left hand mouse button and hold the button down.
- As you hold the button down, drag the mouse around - the protocol will move as you move the mouse.
