Objectives

After finishing this activity you should be able to:

1. state what each of the following prefixes used for SI units means: tera, giga, mega, kilo, milli, micro, nano and pico
2. convert between the following SI units of volume: metre cubed, decimetre cubed, centimetre cubed, millimetre cubed, micrometre cubed
3. convert between the following non-SI units of volume: litre, millilitre, microlitre, nanolitre
4. convert between the above SI units of volume and the above non-SI units of volume.
