Objectives

After finishing this activity, you should be able to:

1. state an equation linking mass of a component, number of moles and RMM
2. do calculations using this equation ie you should be able to calculate:
   1. the number of moles of a component in a specified mass
   2. the mass of a component needed for a specified number of moles of that component
   3. the RMM of a component

Prerequisites

You will find it useful to know the basic units of mass. You will probably need a calculator.
